This is my face and Galadriel's edited together on photoshop. i should have put more effort into it ! |
Hello again, I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! I have been so busy with friends, family and reading that I have not done any sewing at all! Thanks to a few friends I am now crazy about Lord of the Rings! I haven't read the books so I am starting with The Hobbit. The film is coming out next year - I cant wait!
I absolutely love the flowing hair, the elegant silver thread and embellishments, and the intricate decorative architecture of the elves in LOTR. I wish I could be an elf...
Anyway enough day dreaming, and time for some pictures!

Galadriel and her lovely hair <3 |

Arwen with her wonderful hair and fragile and delicate head piece. |

Rivendell - the elves village |

Galadriel with a less "in your face" headpiece |
My hair takes forever to grow and is naturally curly, whenever it grows to a length I like I have to straighten it or else it just curls up and looks short =[ I need to buy a head massager as apparently it stimulates the hair roots and makes them grow more. I should also start taking those hair and nail supplements and eat more yellow fruit and veg! That's the recipe for long hair! Ramble Ramble Ramble...

This medieval looking dress from Nomads is the same one I have. Can't wait to wear it! |
|
The beautiful Aragon and Arwen |
I love the purity of the elves, and the "Art Nouveaux" feel in the flowing lines in the jewellery, clothing and architecture. I would love to walk outside and see women in long dresses and men in hooded cloaks! Elves are so magical.
